Tara Francis, master quillworker from Elsipogtog Mi'kmaq First Nation in New Brunswick Canada takes us through the evolution of her quillwork from her own personal spiritual journey to the creation of educational and language tools.  Her pieces have allowed her the space to address the impacts of European trade on Indigenous life, Treaty Rights, and Residential Schools. During this virtual presentation, attendees will be able to hear firsthand from Tara about her work and ask questions.

Please register through the button below. This virtual program is free and open to the public. If you have any questions contact Starr Kelly, Curator of Education at starr@abbemuseum.org or 207-288-3519.
