The Annual Fund

Abbe : Support : Giving
Annual Giving Logo

Each year we have the goal to raise funds to support our programs, exhibits, and special projects. In 2012, we have
the goal to raise $148,000 and we need your help.

We know our friends, donors, and visitors can help us reach this goal because our mission is so important - to inspire new learning about the Wabanaki Nations with every visit.

Your support is integral to our ongoing success as stewards of this world class museum. Because of your contributions, the Abbe can offer innovative exhibits, such as -- Indians and Rusticators: Wabanakis and Summer Visitors on Mount Desert Island 1840s-1920s – hands-on learning opportunities, lectures and educational programming for adults and children, including a week-long Archaeology Field School.

Our visitors tell us how we're doing...

"Fabulous exhibit – we are members and very proud of everything that is being done at the Abbe Museum. A joy to visit every year!"

"Excellent educational exhibits connecting objects, history, archaeology and preservation in a very interesting way."

"I'm Micmac…Thanks for preserving Native culture and baskets."

"A wonderful reminder that we are guests on this planet."

"Indians and Rusticators is a fantastic show. A real treat to learn more of the history of the area!"

"Always gratifying to see museums who tell the truth, at least as we know it."
