The Abbe Museum Shop features authentic Native American baskets, carvings, jewelry and other art forms by Micmac, Maliseet, Penobscot and Passamaquoddy artists of Maine and the Maritimes. We also carry works by Maine artists and other Maine-made products.
We make every effort to maintain current inventory, however
it is possible that a one-of-a-kind item on this site may have already sold.

Our purchasing priority for the Shop is Wabanaki-made products and we strive to represent Native-owned businesses whenever we can. If you are interested in becoming one of our vendors, please contact Astra Haldeman at the above email address and set up an appointment.
In particular, we are looking for basketry, birch bark work, wood work and carvings, traditional and contemporary beadwork and jewelry, fabric work/textiles, holistic/health/beauty products, recorded music (CD format), and wall and home décor style art. Please note that items should be crafted of quality materials, i.e. no dyed feathers, plastic, base metals, etc. Books and other publications are subject to review.
Many times during the course of the year we travel to Maine's Native communities and purchase for the shop. Be sure to check back often as we will post information about our next buying trip here.
