Visit the Museum: Accessibility
Abbe Museum downtown:
The Abbe Museum downtown is fully wheelchair accessible. A handicapped entrance and parking are available behind the museum off of School Street. But the accessible main entrance on Mount Desert Street is the preferred entrance if you have someone to drop you off in front off the museum or assist you from on-street parking.
Abbe Museum at Sieur de Monts Spring
The Sieur de Monts museum, although accessible, is located up a moderately steep path from the parking lot. Limited parking is available, by appointment, beside the museum entrance. Please call ahead to make arrangements: (207) 288-2179.
